Our fees are based on the following elements:
- The time spent and services rendered on behalf of the client by all members of our firm.
- The complexity of the issues;
- The importance of the issues to the client;
- The results accomplished, and the extent to which the expertise of this firm contributed to a successful outcome;
- The nature and degree of resistance encountered; and
- The extent to which any work needs to be performed on an emergency basis.
We offer a variety of fee structures to meet our clients needs, such as:
Hourly Billing
A standard hourly rate is applied to convert time into a monetary figure. Standard hourly rates are charged by us for the work done on your case by our staff. Clients will be charged an hourly rate for all work completed on their matters and invoiced monthly. The hourly rate will change depending on the staff member completing the work on the matter.
Flat Fee Arrangement
Clients will be charged a flat fee for performing a particular legal service regardless of how much time is spent.
Partial Contingency Fee Arrangement
In certain cases, our firm offers Partial Contingency Fee Arrangements. A Partial Contingency Fee Arrangement means that a client will be charged a fee on the outset of taking a case and then our contingency fee up to a maximum of 30% plus HST if the client receives money because they win their case. Disbursements and taxes are not covered by the contingency fee.
